Day 20: Happy Halloween!

I wasn't really feeling up to taking a super good pic today but I thought I'd take a pic of a pic. :) I printed this picture out and put it in one of my frames because I thought it was just so darn cute. :)

Day 19: A Little Beauty in the Spooky

While grocery shopping today I came across some pretty Halloween flowers. I loved the colors but what hooked me is that one of the flowers had glitter all over it. I couldn't pass it up!

Day 18: More Halloween Festivities

Our local library is right down the street from us so we go there frequently. Today they had their Halloween party where there was a tame haunted house, a craft, and more. Here's one of the pictures I took.

Day 17: Yummy

We had a Nightmare Before Christmas movie night tonight. I made mini pumpkin pie bites for dessert. I usually would pipe on jack-o-lantern faces but I wanted to use the new Williams Sonoma pie crust cutters that Aaron got me.

Day 16: Halloween Is Approaching!

I tried to mess around with this picture in Picasa, and my computer started acting up so I couldn't open other programs so I got bored. lol So here's the original picture. :)

Day 14: We Are Looking For Blues Clues

I totally had another picture taken for today but then Ashlyn was watching Blues Clues and I HAD to take a picture (granted I thought of it during the very last scene so it was hurried) and post it for today because my good friend Jamie's little boy turned 3 today and loves Blues Clues! Happy birthday, Dawson!

Day 13: For Every Thing, A Place... and Everything in Its Place

I took this pic in a hurry because we were putting Ashlyn to bed and I had forgotten to take a pic of the new bin/organizer thing we got in today. Both her room and our living room are a complete mess right now because we are still organizing her toys and everything. I will post pics of her room when it's all done. :)

Day 12: I Vant To Eat Your Candy!

Ashlyn got a couple of things with vampire fangs when we went trick-or-treating at the Halloween party last night. She saw me playing with one and wanted to try the other one on. It's a bit big for her but she had a lot of fun growling at me with them on.

Day 11: Spooktacular, Spooktacular

We had another little Halloween party at the place Ashlyn takes her ballet, gymnastics, and other classes/playgroups. There is a little book nook there that has a "tower." It was the only place not decorated for Halloween, but Ashlyn loves to pretend she's in a tower like Rapunzel, even when she's not in the dress. :)

Day 10: Dress Rehearsal

Today we went to the "Disney Store Dress Rehearsal." Kids came dressed in their Halloween costumes (the first family we saw had two sons and a daughter... the boys were Captain Hook and the Tick Tock Croc and the daughter, who was just a few months old, was Tinkerbell - very cute) and they played games and got prizes. They also had a short video about Rapunzel's coronation (which is what I was most looking forward to, of course). I think Ashlyn had fun. There were a couple other Rapunzels, but Ashlyn was definitely the cutest. ;)

Day 9: Random Photo Opportunities

I was so close to bringing our camera with us when I took Ashlyn to her O2B A Princess class this afternoon. But I decided against it. Turns out they put up a cute little fall decoration outside the building (probably since their Spooktacular event is this Saturday... can't wait!). Good thing Aaron took the dumbphone (we only call it that because our other phone is a smartphone) so I could use the really nice camera on our Droid! :) Not that we won't be taking a picture of her in her costume in front of it on Saturday, but whatever. ;)

Day 8: Our Very Own Forest

Today we went for a walk and found a very pretty pinecone. We walked across the street to where the pine trees were and found a very cool wooded area. It looks like some high school kids use it as a shortcut from our apartments to the high school. We picked up a few more cool pinecones to take home. It was a really cool find. Oh, and I took this picture with our Droid Incredible 2.

Day 7: An Appropriate Picture

Honestly I didn't realize how appropriate this picture was until I started the post and saw that I've been doing this photo challenge for a week now! Each week I try to teach Ashlyn something new (while reviewing stuff we've learned before). This week I'm trying to teach her about the days of the week. I made up a simple weekly calendar and we go over the month, what day it was yesterday, today, and tomorrow and what we're doing that day. She's doing pretty good so far!

Day 6: Look At Us Catching Up With Technology

We decided to just go ahead and get a second phone finally. Aaron decided to get a smartphone. A Droid Incredible 2, to be exact. One guess as to what the first app we downloaded was.

Everyone have their guesses in? Yep, it was the Disney Magic Mobile App!

Day 5: Hay Is For Horses!

Another Ali picture. :) Ali sometimes likes to go out on our screened-in porch and today was the first time she went out there since we put out our hay bale and pumpkins. I knew she was going to eat the hay so I kept an eye on her. But first I tried to take a picture of her next to our little Halloween display (we don't have a whole lot of Halloween decorations... we get a little more every year) but I couldn't get her to look at me long enough to get a good picture.

Day 4: So tired!

I almost forgot to take a picture today! I thought about it a few times throughout the day but just never got any inspiration. So once 8:15pm hit, I decided to roam around the house clicking away. I found Ali, our cat, in our bedroom. When I was getting ready to take the picture, she wasn't yawning, so it was a fun surprise. :) What was cool about taking this picture is that the room was really dark and using Night Portrait made it look like day or all the lights were on.

Day 3: The Snuggly Duckling

I had a few pictures to choose from today. We grabbed a kite and Ashlyn flew a kite for the first time! We also stopped by the pumpkin patch again (seriously, it is RIGHT outside our neighborhood and we pass it every single time we leave the house and on our way back) because they got some baby ducks. Now, everyone loves ducklings so I decided to make that the topic of today's challenge. And, just because I care, I'll include two fuzzy little ducklings. :)

Day 2: A More Successful Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch again today. We got quite a few pumpkins and a hay bale so it was great. Plus it was a great activity for our movie night. Ashlyn got to pick out two pumpkins and had a blast. Here's a picture I took of her while we were there. And don't worry, they are getting baby ducks tomorrow so we'll be back, taking more pictures, over the weekend. ;)

Day 1: Pumpkin Patch

Hello! I have finally jumped in and started a 365 Photo Challenge! I'm really dedicated to sticking with it every day and stepping out of my photo comfort zone to take some awesome pictures.

To be honest, this first picture (from 10/12) isn't perfect, but I like it. There is a pumpkin patch right outside our neighborhood. The pumpkins there are just gorgeous! Of course we stopped by when we didn't have cash on us so we're going again and you know I'll be taking more pictures! I wanted to get closer to the ground to get a better shot, but it was muddy (just ask the back of my daughter's dress when she sat down while checking one of them out) and I didn't have a blanket in the car or anything to lay on. I may just have to throw one in just in case.
